The Road Is Difficult –
This Truth can encourage us because we often face challenges, problems, and troubles on the road of faith in Christ. Jesus affirmed this when He said, “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows.” John 16:33
Too often we are told that believing in Jesus and becoming a Christian will make your life easier, and you will always be happy; your problems will all go away. Not True!
We do have tragedies, heartbreak, sorrow, and pain on this road of faith. But we have Hope! We have Eternal Life. We have God’s Love and a perfect Friend, Jesus, who walks with us.
Some will say that our troubles in this life are caused by our sin, and sin certainly causes us trouble. Not true! Jesus paid in full for all our sin, and God has forgotten it. Consider this: If God punished us for our sin with trouble, everyone, everywhere, would be plagued by pain. Furthermore, Jesus’ sacrifice would be useless. So refuse to accept this lie.
God’s Truth is: everyone faces troubles, trials, and pain; it is inevitable on this earth. Jesus is with us through it all, will never leave us, and will bring us safely home at the end of this difficult road.
Thank You, Jesus, for revealing the Truth and for always being with us. Help us to stand firm in faith as we walk this difficult road with You.
