Today’s Encouragement is, “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 NLT
Much Fruit –
Does your life seem to be fruitless? Not peaches and pears, but meaningful relationships, which honor God; meaningful conversations about God, about faith in Him, praising and honoring Him. This is a fruitful life – when others are touched by Him – through you.
Another fruitful analogy is, “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23a
Not for condemnation, but for self-reflection. How can we bear fruit in this way?
He has already told us. Abide in Him. He is the Holy Spirit and the vine, and only by remaining connected, close, and in relationship with Him can we be useful, fruitful, or have meaningful lives and relationships with anyone else!
Abide. Reside. Live with Him. Stay with Him. Be with Him. Seek Him. And He will make you fruitful. The Holy Spirit produces this good fruit, and without Him we can do nothing.
Thank You, Father, for creating us with an essential need for You. We draw our life from You, and You fill us with Your Spirit to produce a beautiful, fruitful life. Help us to remain in You, as You remain in us.
Draw Me Close
