Mercies Never Cease –
Truths That Transform: God’s mercy has no end.
We run out of patience; God does not. We get tired of our own behavior and that of others; God does not. We have limits on what we will forgive and forget; God does not.
As believers in Jesus, we are His sons and daughters, dearly loved, and we are always living under, within, and surrounded by His mercy, grace, and Love. These mercies never cease; they cannot run dry, cannot be exhausted, and stand eternal.
His mercy for us, although we are fallen creatures, never ends. And His faithfulness, even when we are unfaithful (2 Timothy 2:13), is great; it continues eternally.
And because of all this- His Love, mercy, and faithfulness- we can choose to hope in Him! Too often we place our hope in someone or something else: our spouse, job, boss, children, or ourselves. All of these will disappoint; only God is our true hope.
And He never stops having mercy on us.
Father God, we are overwhelmed by Your unending Love for us. We don’t understand unlimited mercy, made new each day, every single time we need it; Your mercy is complete, perfect, and fresh. We are grateful for Your mercy and for all that You are.
