Today’s Encouragement is, “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.” Romans 8:1-2 NLT
Belong to Christ –
More truths that transform us.
We Belong to Christ. We become His possession, responsibility, and family when we say “Yes” to Him.
In addition, we are forever free from condemnation (because we are His). And the power of God’s Spirit has set us free from the power of sin. Might want to reread that!
Notice these are not someday or when we did, or promises to a certain few really good Christians, these are truths about us as believers.
When you feel condemned, judged or put down, remember that their condemnation cannot harm you, because you belong to Jesus. When sin threatens to overwhelm you and take your life from you, remember that you have been freed from its power by God’s Spirit.
So when you ask yourself, “Are you good enough?” “Are you doing everything that you should be doing?” “Are you all that God is expecting you to be?” and similar questions, remember to evaluate yourself against God’s truth, not against His perfection.
Thank You Father for the Truth You have already provided. Help us to savor such rich and life transforming Truths.
