Today’s Encouragement is, “So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, ‘Come back to God!’” 2 Corinthians 5:20 NLT
Come back –
This is an invitation for everyone to come back to God. We who have believed before can return to Him anytime and any number of times! Because we are right with God through Christ. But those who have never accepted Him can also come back to Him. He is always waiting for anyone to accept Him, to come home to their Father.
The next verse explains, “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” (2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT)
He never rejects us; our sin cannot separate us from our Father because Jesus has made us right with God! This is righteousness. Not what we do or don’t do, but what Jesus has already done for us, perfectly and eternally.
Come back to God. If you are sensing Him drawing you to Him, and only He can do that, then now is the time. He sincerely wants a loving relationship with you. But my friend, each of us must first come back. He is always waiting. And like the father of the disobedient, ungrateful son who chose to come back, He will embrace you when you come back.
Father, how can we dare to come back to You without the grace of Jesus? You gave Him to pay the price for every sin of all of us, so we choose to accept Him as our Lord, King, and our God. Help us to come back to You.
