Today’s Encouragement is, “But as for me, I will always proclaim what God has done; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.” Psalm 75:9 NLT
As For Me –
The songwriter has just described the ways of rebellious people who reject God and raise their fists (v4) in defiance of Him, and then declares with firm conviction, But – As For Me.
It is amazing, isn’t it, that God gives us the ability to choose our own fate? We can choose to defy Him and raise our fists, or ignore Him and deny that He exists, or we can choose to honor Him and sing His praises. We choose.
And we then live with the consequences of our decision – forever. When we choose Him, we then experience and live within His promised blessings throughout our lives. And when we don’t, either denying Him or defying Him, we have chosen to live outside of His blessings.
Blessings such as:
Eternal Life
Forgiveness for every wrong
Acceptance into His family
A new life
Hope for tomorrow
Peace in our hearts and minds
And so many more!
But as for me, I choose to proclaim what He has done and sing His praises.
Thank You, Father, for allowing us the free will to choose. Help us choose You, Your Way, Your Truth, and Your Life – to choose Jesus.
