Today’s Encouragement is, “For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” 2 Corinthians 2:15 ESV
Aroma Of Christ –
Here is another perspective of our earthly lives, similar to, “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.” 2 Corinthians 5:20a
Please recognize this is our new nature, identity, and purpose as God’s people. It isn’t something we do, work at, or strive to achieve. We ARE the aroma of Christ; we ARE His ambassadors. Just as surely as we are saved by His grace, cleansed of all sin, and reborn into the family of God, we are His representatives and His aroma on this earth.
Being aware of this truth can help us live in the present moment as His people. We aren’t above others, but we are distinct.
When we interact with others, we are always, whether we recognize it or not, representing Him. We “give off” His aroma; a natural consequence of our belonging to Him.
Thank You, Father, for the wonderful privileges You have given us! Forgiveness and Eternal Life, and also the Aroma of Christ, His ambassadors: You are so very generous and gracious to us. Help us to represent Him well.
