I Will Be With Them

Today’s Encouragement is, “I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.” John 17:26 NLT

I Will Be In Them –

Jesus is in us. We often use terms like ‘Jesus is in our hearts’ or ‘we are in Christ.’ While these concepts are true, they are not exhaustive. The truth is much deeper, substantial, and more mysterious than any other relationship.

This is spiritual truth, not rational human or physical truth, not visible or fully understandable by our senses or human logical thought processes. We must accept and believe.

Christ in us. He is, was, and always shall be. It’s His decision, His choice to reside within His people. And we also have a choice: to remain in Him (John 15:4).

In any relationship, there are two parties, each with the ability to invest in or to resist the other. Jesus has made His choice. He holds nothing back. His investment in us, in a relationship with us, is total, complete, and perfect. He gave His life for it.

So how do we respond to Him?
First, we say “Yes,” and we accept Him as Savior, the One who has saved and will continue to save us, and as Lord, the One who guides, leads, and provides for us, but please don’t quit there.

He is in us! In perpetual, eternal, indivisible, indefinable relationship with us.

Father, we want to grow closer to You, but we admit we are not sure how. Please lead us, Lord, in this relationship with You; open our hearts to Your presence in our lives. We say, “Yes” to You.

I Say Yes
