Today’s Encouragement is, “We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.” 1 John 4:16a NLT
How Much God Loves Us –
This is how much:
He sent His Son to die for our sins. (1 John 4:10)
He gave us eternal life through Jesus. (1 John 4:9)
He has adopted us into His own family. (Romans 8:15)
Jesus came to give us an abundant life. (John 10:10)
He has given us His Holy Spirit, who will be with us forever. (John 14:16)
The Bible is filled with examples of God’s love for us, but these alone make one thing unmistakably clear: God’s Love is far greater than our human understanding.
The verse begins with knowing His Love, but do we put our trust in His Love??
Because God loves us completely, we have every reason to trust Him completely. That trust releases us from fear — fear of harm, fear that He is angry with us, fear that we have finally exhausted His patience. He knows who we are and what we will do before we do it. He is never surprised, never shocked, never let down. He knows us completely, and because of Jesus, He still loves us.
That is the Love we are invited to trust.
Father, thank You for loving us with Love that is real, pure, and perfect. Help us not just to know about it, but to trust it — fully and without reservation. When fear creeps in, remind us of who You are and how completely You know us. Help us live today and always, trusting in Your Perfect Love. We pray in Jesus’ name.
