Today’s Encouragement is, “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love- not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” 1 John 4:9-10 NLT
Real Love –
Consider how God has demonstrated His Real Love for us:
He sent His Son to this earth as a sacrifice for our sins, all the wrongs we have done and will do, every single sin in our entire lives. (v10)
Not only that –
He gave us eternal life through Jesus. (v 9)
Not only that –
He has adopted us into His own family. (Romans 8:15)
Not only that –
He came to give us abundant life – here, now, and always. (John 10:10)
Not only that –
He has given us His Holy Spirit, who will be with us forever. (John 14:16)
Not only that –
But there is much more, the Bible is filled with blessings that God has given us!
Is it clear? God loves us! He really loves us! With Real, Pure, Perfect Love.
Father, we are overwhelmed when we consider the depth of Your amazing, undeserved, Real Love for us. Help us to accept it, receive it, and to live our lives in full awareness of Your Real Love for us!
