Today’s Encouragement is, “So I asked your disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn’t do it.” Jesus said to them, “You faithless people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” Mark 9:18b-19 NLT
Bring Him To Me –
The disciples of Jesus couldn’t help this tormented, demon-possessed boy. Jesus said, “Bring him to Me!”
Often, the disciples of Jesus, especially while He was with them on Earth, were not the most effective in ministry. They argued, disagreed, and even fought among themselves. Here, although they were willing and they sincerely tried, the disciples were unsuccessful.
We are often just like them; we have good intentions, but still struggle, argue, are uncertain, and even inept.
But we can always – Bring it to Jesus.
Before you look anywhere else – to counselors, church leaders, your brothers and sisters –
look first to Jesus! He is our source and our answer.
“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.’” Matthew 11:28 NLT
Thank You, Father, that we can come to Jesus and bring our every need, and He will give us what we need. Rest, healing, peace, He has it all, He knows our need, and He will lovingly provide. Help us choose to bring it all to Jesus.
Take It To Jesus
