The Way

Today’s Encouragement is, “Jesus told him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!’” John 14:6-7 NLT

The Way –

The richness of God’s written word is astounding! In this and the preceding sentences, peace, eternity, hope, assurance, purpose, direction, Jesus’ identity, God’s nature, and our salvation are revealed!

Don’t let yourself worry or be anxious and troubled;
Trust God and Jesus (v1).
Jesus went to His Father’s house to prepare a place for you and me;
There is plenty of room there (v2).
When everything is ready, Jesus will come and get us.
Then we will always (eternally) be where He is, with Him(v3)!
We know the way (v4).
Jesus is the Way(v6)!

Whatever our question, our struggle, concern, or need, Jesus is the answer. He has clearly revealed that:

He is the Way –
Our direction, our journey, destination, purpose, and more.
He is the Truth – perfect wisdom, pure, reliable, unchanging, and more.
He is the Life – Life is Jesus. Life now and eternally. Purposeful, joyful, meaningful, and effective Life!

Some say Jesus never claimed to be God, and it’s true that He never spoke the words, “ I am God.” But here, and in many other statements, it is undeniable that only God could say, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

Thank You, Father, for Jesus-
Your perfect and greatest Gift. Help us to appropriately honor, respect, and learn from Him. Help us to follow the Way, to believe and speak the Truth, and to live fully, freely, and joyfully The Life!
