Today’s Encouragement is, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you.” Isaiah 26:3 NLT
Perfect Peace –
Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? Restful, hopeful, carefree, worry-free! Imagine this contentment for just a moment, as long as you can, now imagine remaining in that state of Perfect Peace!
This quietness of soul is available to all who believe! How? Trust Him, and fix our thoughts on Jesus. When we are thinking about Him, we shift our focus from our circumstances, problems, worries, and fears to the Light of the world! He is Life! And everything else fades into oblivion when we are thinking about Jesus!
Notice also, His Perfect Peace is available to all who Trust in Him. We invest trust; it is ours to place wherever we choose. We can also choose to withhold it. God alone is worthy of our Trust. And, in exchange for our trust in Him, He provides us with His Perfect Peace.
Prayer helps us! We can pray in faith, thanking, trusting, and focusing on Him and His ceaseless Love for us. Or we can pray in fear, which is not confident that He hears, not trusting Him with our every need, not hopeful for His response, and focused on our will, desires, and needs rather than His perfect will.
Father God, help us to live in Your Perfect Peace, to look to You for our every need, to fix our thoughts on You instead of our circumstances, to never stop praying, to pray about everything with Thanksgiving, to be persistent and not give up! You are our Hope!
