Today’s Encouragement is, “Never stop praying.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT
Never Stop Praying –
Obviously, we cannot be on our knees, with eyes closed, bowed heads, and folded hands, repeating the Lord’s Prayer in a church building 24/7/365! So what could this mean?
Here are some possibilities:
You wake up late – pray for help in getting to work as quickly as possible.
You don’t feel well – pray that you will feel better, or be able to see a doctor soon, or be able to take the day off to rest.
You remember that you have a major challenge facing you today – pray for wisdom, confidence, and a successful outcome.
You see a huge pile of unpaid bills on the table – pray for His guidance in how to address each situation calmly.
You get the picture. Each thought can either engender anxiety, worry, and stress – or provide ample opportunity for sincere prayer. We choose!
God is not ‘too busy, too big, or too important’ to hear you, to guide you, and to provide for you!
And as you pray, recognize that God is in complete control! He knows exactly what you need, and when, how, where, etc. By faith, we know that He alone has all the power to do anything! And, because He loves us, “We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28 NLT
Help us, Lord, to never stop praying, relating to You, and staying in contact with You through prayer. We choose to trust You with our needs, our lives, and with everything!
