Are Being Made –
As we read God’s Word, we can choose to trust it, discount it, or even disbelieve it. But understanding is beyond us, and acceptance, by faith alone, is all that is left to us who choose to trust and believe in Him and His Word.
By His sacrificial offering, Jesus forever made us Perfect and also began making us Holy.
This is spiritual truth, it certainly isn’t earthly, worldly, or physical truth… we ain’t perfect! But by Christ’s sacrifice, we are indeed – perfect! Because He, in His perfection, purchased our perfection for us. We can’t ever achieve it, except through Jesus!
Not only has He attained perfection for us spiritually, and eternally… He is making us holy.
Notice perfection is already achieved, but holiness is a process; we are still in the process of being made holy.
Just as only He can make us Perfect, only Jesus can make us holy. It’s not our job, not our ‘work’ or efforts, but His! His perfectly designed process to transform us (Romans 12:2) into His holiness. Our role? Certainly, we have one, but it is rather passive: acceptance, yielding, and believing. God does the work, we agree, accept, respond, and hold fast to our faith in His work!
“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6 NLT
Thank You, Father, that You have already provided for us the Eternal Perfection of Jesus! And that you are now, always, working in us to make us Holy!
