Always be joyful –
“This is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
We often say, “I just want to know God’s will.” Well, here it is – in black and white! Be Joyful, pray, and be Thankful, always!
Can you believe the freedom He gives us? The blessings He offers us?
God desires and wants us to be Full of Joy, be Full of Prayer, be Full of Thanks, regardless of our circumstances.
This Joy is not an oblivious ignorance of the reality of our circumstances. We will all suffer pain, loss, setbacks, and grief in this life. Jesus said, “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33b NLT. So how can it be God’s will for us to be full of Joy?
The only possibility is that we, as eternal, supernatural, and spiritual beings, have the ability (though seldom used) to look beyond our current circumstances, the pain, sorrow, and heartache, and “look to” the eternal reality of our life with Jesus in Paradise!
Remember the thief on the cross? Jesus told him, “Today, you will be with me in paradise!” (Luke 23:43). He was still suffering and dying, but he was never in his life more joyful!
It isn’t easy at all to look beyond our current situation, but when we choose to, we can choose joy, we can pray and be thankful still, because of all that Jesus has done for us!
Thank You, Lord, for encouraging us to look beyond our circumstances and see You!
