Today’s Encouragement is, “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT
My Thoughts –
We are curious creatures. We want to understand the who, what, why, when, and how of everything. How did the Earth form? How big is the universe? Is there life out there? Why this? How is that? Our human mind works overtime asking questions, and many might not be unanswerable!
In fact, we’re especially proud of ourselves when we come up with an unanswerable question… ain’t we smart?
May I suggest a different approach, my friend? What if we chose faith instead of doubt?
This, however, requires a change of position. We aren’t the questioner, and we aren’t the one being questioned… we’re simply observers—Child-like in our trust of our Father God.
He knows… everything. We don’t, we can’t, and we won’t. But God does! And that is enough!
Popular phrases for believers express this idwa. “I can’t, but God can”. Or “I can’t, but I know a guy.”
Friend, it is enough that we know Him and He knows All. We can release our drive to learn, know, and discover… because He has, does, and ever will!
Thank You, Father, that You have all the answers to every possible question, and that You have taught us to trust in You, to Rest in You! Give us a sincere Faith to trust in Jesus for all our questions and needs.
