Today’s Encouragement is, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 ESV
Come To Me-
Jesus invited us. Everyone is invited. His rest, comfort, protection, and peace are available to all who come to Him.
There is no ‘maybe’ here; there’s no qualification, no worth, no special humility, repentance, or penance laid out. We simply come to Him!
Remember this verse? “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 ESV. Do you see any requirement?
He knows us. He knows we are utterly incapable of coming to Him, asking, seeking and knocking… unless we believe!
Why do we look elsewhere? We do! We look to alcohol, drugs, prescriptions, self-help books, and an infinite number of other sources for what He freely offers, at no cost except our faith.
He alone can provide what every human heart longs for—rest, peace, comfort, and freedom.
Father, we thank You for the perfect gifts that You offer. You are the only source of lasting truth.
