Today’s Encouragement is, “Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah.” Acts 3:19-20 NLT
Turn To God –
How many times have we heard it? “Repent!” It’s almost become cliché, and we have become calloused to the power of this Truth!
The word ‘repent’ means ‘to turn away’; it is not an occasional step, but a continuous choice we make. Turn from this and that and everything else… and turn to God!
This turning away from everything else, and turning to God, is repentance, and it is a continuous process, a lifelong decision, repeated innumerable times by those who believe!
Each decision, each choice to reject everything else, including our own will, our desires, our sins, our pride our worries, our fears… and to Turn To God, is a step of freedom!
We are free to choose, to pursue our own path. But only His path, His Way leads to our blessing, and to real Life!
Each time we choose Jesus, each time we turn to Him, we are immediately blessed and facing in the Right Way!
Personally, I don’t know how I would survive with any other choice. Nothing else will do. Nothing this world has to offer throughout a lifetime can compare to a moment with Him. (Psalm 84:10)
Father God, I, for one, need Jesus! I choose to turn to You daily, hourly, moment by moment. Nothing else will do. Thank You for the immeasurable privilege of turning to You!
