Discouraged –
We all get discouraged, sometimes for a moment, sometimes it seems eternal. And when we experience such hopelessness, when peace is an unreasonable expectation, when joy is a falsehood, when everything is dark, and blackness surrounds us… at this point, we are seeing things very clearly! This is an accurate perspective of life, its futility, and despair – when it is without Jesus! Without Him, we are all without Hope, without the Savior!
Oh, my friend, but that is not for you and me!
God has called us to Himself, invited us into His family, and introduced us to His Son, the only and ultimate Savior. He saves us for today, tomorrow, and eternity.
The blackness and despair are still all around us. This world is decaying! But now, because of Jesus, we live in the light! It’s good to recognize the reality of the darkness, but we no longer dwell there! We now live in His Light! “For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So, live as people of light!” (Ephesians 5:8)
Be Encouraged! Choose to put your hope in God! Recognize that He alone is our Hope. What he has done, yes! But even more – He is with us now and will be still throughout all Eternity!
Thank You, God, for providing us with exactly what we need: Salvation, Hope, and the Light of Christ! We choose to place all our hope in Jesus.
