Today’s Encouragement is 1 Peter 1:24-25 ESV for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
Remains Forever –
Ever hear someone say” Well, here’s what I think”? Or ‘IMO…’?
Friends, we all have opinions, ideas, and thoughts. Some of these might even be worthwhile, important even profound! But! In the end… These are all merely human thinking, human reasoning, and human logic, which by definition is Limited!
This is why God’s Word is different and it stands alone above all human wisdom! It has stood the test of centuries, and today still withstands the onslaught of the myriad of human ideas which flail – futilely against it! The Word of the Lord remains FOREVER!
We’ve created religions, and we’ve debunked all religion. We have declared ourselves as God and claimed that He is dead. We have made bizarre claims about how the universe came to be and how men and women are interchangeable based on our self-identification…
We have innumerable such notions floating around the earth at any moment in time.
Only God’s Word is eternal, true, and trustworthy. Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6)
Father God, we acknowledge our limited understanding, our human failures, and our faults, and we thank You that You have already saved us from sin and death, and we trust that You will also save us from ourselves and from the many deceptions of this world. Help us to seek You alone, Your Truth in Jesus.
