Today’s Encouragement is Galatians 2:20 NLT My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
No longer I –
Like so many passages in the Bible, this is one of those mysteries… “It is no longer I who live…” Wait a minute… I’m still here, I’m still alive, still have the same name, same face… what does this mean? Is it possible that this is a Spiritual Truth, not a Natural truth? That it is, it is super-natural, above, beyond, and outside of the natural world.
Now, I no longer live… but instead… Christ lives within me. Christ guides, speaks, hears, thinks within this body… because I trust in Him, the One who loved me and gave Himself for me…. Because I trust Him, He lives within me. Still blows your mind, doesn’t it?
Father, we have such limited understanding. We hear Your truth, we see the words, we choose to believe, yet our depth of understanding is so shallow. Open our hearts and eyes and minds to grasp the amazing spiritual truths, like this one… so that we may truly experience Christ living within us! Every moment, every day. We pray this in Jesus’ Name!
