Today’s Encouragement is Isaiah 26:3 NLT You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Perfect Peace –
Is there really such a thing? Is it possible that we could just be at peace, at perfect peace, with everything, everyone, every circumstance, with our past, future and even our present? Is it possible?
Friends our God does not make idle promises, He doesn’t tease us with Hope and then keep withdrawing it from our grasp? He is not cruel nor crafty.
This Perfect Peace emerges, becomes reality, from our Trust in Him. And we Trust with our minds and hearts, it is a decision, a choice we make… to choose to trust Him.
Our choice is made based upon His character, His integrity, His sovereignty… that is, as we grow in our understanding of Him… our Trust grows as well. Our thoughts guide us to Him or away from Him… again by our choice. Do we entertain thoughts of Trust or of Doubt? Which of these leads to peace and which to fear and despair?
Where are your thoughts my friend? What are your thoughts fixed on? Is it Him?
Father help us to fix our thoughts on You!
