Today’s Encouragement is Hebrews 10:17 Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”
Never again remember –
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a big eraser, one that really worked well, to just erase the mistakes we make? Sometimes our mistakes are just saying something without thinking, (I’ve done plenty of that!), and sometimes it’s serious, intentional acts, (check that too!) which we recognize (occasionally before but usually afterwards) as a really big mistake.
My dear friends, God’s Grace and forgiveness IS that really big, really good eraser! He says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”
Never Again! He chooses to erase our sins, from careless words to our intentionally planned sins… Erased! Forgiven, Forgotten, Forever!!!
We are set free my friends, from our own and all Sin, past, present, and future. Now, do we accept His complete forgiveness? Do we live in His freedom from our mistakes? Do we forgive ourselves for our sins? Does His perfect ‘sin-eraser’ not have the power to erase our own memories of shame and regret, self-punishment, and self-condemnation for our own sins, mistakes, and horrible things we’ve done, to ourselves and to others. Isn’t He big enough? Isn’t He good enough? Isn’t He merciful enough for what you and I have done?
Now, do we believe Him? Do we trust Him enough, rely upon the perfect Grace of God enough… to accept His grace-filled forgiveness and then, forgive ourselves also?
God of perfect Grace and complete Forgiveness, thank You Father for forgiving my sin, all of it, forever… please completely erase my own memory of specific sin, so that I am forever free of the shame and condemnation of my sin. I ask in Jesus’ Name.
