Far more abundantly

Today’s Encouragement is Ephesians 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us”

Far more abundantly –

Takes three words to begin to describe His power.  Not just more, but far more, even Far. More. Abundantly.

More than we can ask –

More, and far more abundantly… than we can imagine!

Is it possible my friends?  That we shy away from asking God for what we could ask Him for, or what we might imagine He could do… because we don’t believe He will? We are quick to say, ‘Well, of course He Can do anything… but we don’t know what He will or will not do…’ Is it possible that we do not ask because of our limited faith?

In our humanity, we have only a glimpse of God’s omnipotence… His all-powerful nature.  He is unlimited! And He can do far more than we can even imagine….

He can do this in our troubles, our failures, our hopes and dreams, through our prayers, and notice the final line of this verse… “according to the power that is at work within us”!  What?  He does more than we can ask or imagine through—- His power within us?

Seems pretty clear that is exactly what Paul is saying!

Father God, Your power is inconceivable to us, as is Your Wisdom and Your Love.  Thank You for the clear message of Your immeasurable love through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus… by this we can see the depth of Your immeasurable Love for us.  Help us to trust You to do more abundantly than we can ever ask or imagine… through us, around us and within us.
