Today’s Encouragement is Acts 20:24 “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”
The Grace of God –
Paul said, my life, my comfort and convenience, possessions, friends and family, my plans and needs… have no value to me! What does have value to me is that I do the ministry which Jesus has called me to… to continue to the finish to testify to the gospel of God’s Grace.
To finish my course – the work God calls His people to is a life-long effort, we start when He calls, and we will only stop when this life ends.
To Testify to the Gospel- we bring our faith experience to others when we testify, as in court, or through our Love, to the Truth. And Jesus is the Truth, and what He has done in and through us, what He has taught us, Who He Is, the sacrifice and resurrection, the bread of life, all that He is… we testify to this.
The gospel of God’s Grace-
His Grace! Forgiveness for the unforgivable. Undeserved blessings and mercy. God’s favor extended to the worst that man has done… and not only forgiven, but blotted out, erased, removed, eternally forgotten by the Eternal God.
Father may we also, continue to the end, to testify to Your amazing, undeserved, abundant, cleansing, and perfecting Grace through Jesus our savior.
