Today’s Encouragement is 2 Corinthians 4:16 “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.”
We do not lose heart –
Life is tough! There are often times when we are threatened by the circumstances of this world. It’s real, we struggle with holding on to our hope, our faith even.
Even as our outer self, this body, this flesh, ages and wastes away… at that same time… our inner self, our spirit, our soul, our spiritual being… is being renewed day by day….
Just Imagine, at the very time we are dying in our flesh, we are being reborn in our spirit.
So, my friends… we do NOT lose heart!
Lord God, as we face the reality of the frailty and the limitations of our human bodies, as this life slowly ebbs, grant us the gift of a growing faith in our new lives, our new, never aging, never declining lives with You. Help us keep our eyes on You, for You alone are our Hope!

These words of eternal hope are relevant to me RIGHT NOW, and that is rather an understatement. But then you know that.

We all experience times when our faith runs low, when this life begins to wear on us… sometimes we are all tempted to succumb to despair… but God’s grace, mercy, Hope, and Strength is always available… we just sometimes don’t avail ourselves of His blessings. We’re funny like that… But He’s Good like that!
