Today’s Encouragement is John 17:25-26 [Jesus prayed] O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. [26] I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
The love with which You loved me –
In this prayer, just before His arrest and earthly death, Jesus prayed for both His disciples and also for all of us who would come to believe in Him through their message.
And He says, I have made known to them Your Name…
that the Love… hear this my friends, the Love which God has for Jesus, this Perfect Agape Love… He prayed that this Love may be in us! And Jesus Himself may be in us!
Now friends, did God hear this prayer of Jesus? Certainly! Did God grant this prayer of Jesus? Just as certainly! Therefore… it must be true that – the same Love which God has for Jesus is in you and me!
Incredible, isn’t it?
And yet, we are clothed with Christ. It is no longer I that live but Christ that lives within me. We are called by His Name, we are one with Him, we are filled with His Holy Spirit.
God loves you…
with the same love…
that He loves Jesus…
Father God Your Love is so much greater than we can grasp. Yet we long to know You more, to grow deeper in Your love. Guide us to dwell in You Lord.
