Today’s Encouragement is Deuteronomy 7:22 “The LORD your God will clear away these nations before you little by little. You may not make an end of them at once, lest the wild beasts grow too numerous for you.”
Little by little-
As God brought His people into the land He had promised them, He brought them into the land little by little, not all at once.
So also, God brings His beloved children along in their journey of faith and spiritual growth, step by step… so that we are not overwhelmed by the ‘wild beasts’ such as pride or arrogance.
We are His children throughout eternity, spiritually, regardless of our current years in this life, and His attention and affection are focused on developing our eternal spiritual character. Just as loving human parents want their children to be successful in the world, kind and loving, responsible, and mature… so does Our Father desire us to be spiritually successful in this life but also throughout eternity, loving Him and others, honest and spiritually mature, confident in Him and in His provision.
So, little by little, He carefully and intentionally gives us opportunities to grow, custom-tailored to our individual needs, but also and primarily to His perfect desire for each of us. He knows you that well, and He loves you that deeply.
Thank You Father God for bringing us into Your perfect plans for each of us, little by little. You are so good to us Lord.
