Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 94:19 “When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.”
Cheer my soul –
My friends we have a treasure trove of blessings, comfort, and consolations in God’s Word.
As believers, when we are hurting, confused, uncertain, needing direction, comfort, peace… ‘when the cares of my heart are many’… God’s word contains our consolation, our peace, hope, contentment and even our joy.
Choosing to suffer the cares and worries of life, and not seeking His comfort from His word… is like sitting in the hospital Emergency Room waiting area while you’re having chest pains… The help you need is right there… always available, just Ask! His consolations- His promises, His Wisdom, His Love is right there… always available.
Studying His word prepares us for those times when the winds blow and the storms of life are raging, so that we know where to go in His word to find the consolation, promises, comfort which our souls need.
And my friend, recognize it is God’s consolations that cheer our souls. Not cute little sound bites from social media. But the Truth of God’s Word.
Like Hebrews 13:5b “for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”
And Jeremiah 29:11 NIV “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
And countless other words of encouragement from God.
Find your consolation in His word, my friends, and let Him cheer your soul.
