Today’s Encouragement is Matthew 16:20 Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ.
Tell no one –
This has always puzzled me, why would Jesus command His disciples to tell no one who He was?
As with much of scripture, it can only be understood in context. Just a few verses before, Simon Peter said in V 16 “You are the Christ! The Son of the Living God!” And V 17 “And Jesus answered him, ‘Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.’”
Is it possible my friend, that Jesus knew that only those who were drawn by the Father would truly believe in Him, not those who believed because of persuasive words, or a man’s testimony? In John 6:65 Jesus said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”
While accepting Christ as Lord is a human choice, and a decision we each make, is it possible that the carefully planted seed of thought that Jesus is Lord and Savior … this can only come from the whisper of God, the still small voice of God speaking the ultimate truth directly to our hearts? Each person can reject or accept this truth. Yet only those whom God speaks to, whispers to, offers Life to, those whom the Father draws… will ever truly speak the words, “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”
My friends, we have been drawn to Jesus by God the Father…. How blessed you and I are!

Your explanation of that mystery makes the most sense , I wondered about that to,, even thought he said it because we would do the opposite even more if he said don’t , I think your on the right path,,, he said that on other occasions as well like after healings, his thoughts are higher than ours way higher
