Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
Be glad in the Lord-
Be glad, Rejoice, Shout for Joy.
Seems like we’re a long way from that… with a pandemic threatening, economic hardship, a political Cold War dividing our nation, plus all the problems of our normal lives… how the heck are we supposed to be happy, much less shouting for Joy? What is there to rejoice about?
My friends, we are IN, but not of, this world. Our reason for rejoicing is not IN this world, it is “IN the Lord”.
We can ‘be glad in the Lord’ because we can look beyond this world – to Him, to His world and His kingdom. And when we do so, we can truly be glad and rejoice and shout for Joy when we focus our hearts and minds on His truth, His power, His kingdom.
You can be joyful.
Regardless of the troubles of this daily life… we can choose to find our Joy in Him!
Father God help us to recognize that You are the source of Joy, of Hope, of Grace and of Strength. You alone are Good! Grant us the blessing of being Glad – because of who You are!
