Today’s Encouragement is, “For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.“ Psalm 32:7 NLT
Hiding Place –
Ever find yourself thinking, “I wish I could just get away from everything and everyone?”
You can.
God is our hiding place. Shelter. Safety. Peace. Rest. Protection. Fortress. Home.
“He lets me rest” Psalm 23:2a
“This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.” Psalm 91:2
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” Isaiah 26:3
“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.’” Matthew 11:28
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7
We can choose to come to Him at any time to place our trust, our needs, our anxiety, our fear, and even our doubts in His care. And He gives us – rest.
The practical approach is to get alone, silence everything, and as each worry, fear, problem, or need appears, pray, “Father, I trust You with this. I release it to You, thank You for taking care of it for me. Help me do what I need to, and to trust that You will take care of everything else.”
This is a spiritual surrendering of your every need to your Father; He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and He loves you perfectly. We can trust Him.
Father, thank You for being the safest hiding place for Your people. Give us faith to choose to trust You, and to release all our needs to You and so, to find rest for our souls.
Rest
