Write Them On Their Minds

Today’s Encouragement is, “This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the LORD: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Hebrews 10:16 NLT
Write Them On Their Minds —
You may have them too. Thoughts, words of wisdom, encouragement, or cute sayings. Perhaps you have them on plaques, note cards, framed quotes, or refrigerator magnets. Some of us have tons more wise words around our homes than we do in our minds. Of course, such inspiring thoughts are helpful, good reminders of truths we need to believe, remember, and live out.
Here are a few practical thoughts about all the “words of wisdom” we may have in our hearts and minds.
Is it Truth?
Many common sayings we often use or accept are not true. Jesus said, “I am the Truth.” He is the one to trust; the voice of God.
Do we live by this truth?
Knowing and doing are not the same. God alone can enable us to live and act according to the truth we know. This is an act of His grace, mercy, and love for us. And when we fail, He forgives and forgets. Each morning His mercy is renewed. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Does this change anything, or me?
The things we believe have a deep and lasting impact on our lives. When we believe, “Things are going really well, something bad is bound to happen next,” we expect the worst, and guess what?
The solution is to go to the Source; Jesus is the Truth. Allow Him to put His wisdom in your heart and mind, erasing the half-truths, lies, superstitions, and wisdom of man. He alone is Truth.
Father, thank you for Jesus. Help us to choose wisely, allowing only His truth to be written on our hearts and in our minds.
