God Is For Us –
“And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20b NLT
God is with us always –
Do we really believe it? What if we did? What if we lived our lives confidently, as if these were immutable truths for us; as if we truly were the children of the King, chosen, blessed, forgiven, and dearly loved by our Father?
Now, what if we didn’t accept it and didn’t live according to God’s Truth? Would our behavior, actions, or even our ignorance have any effect on the Truth?
As an analogy, consider a man who inherited ten million dollars from his uncle. He was told it was in the bank; all he had to do was believe and make a withdrawal. But he didn’t believe! “It’s just too good to be true,” he said. And he lived the rest of his days in poverty, even though he was truly wealthy.
Our identity as the dearly loved children of God, his love for us and His presence with us, and innumerable other blessings are all True! But we must believe and act upon that faith. If we don’t believe, then we will live out all our days in spiritual poverty.
Father, we need Your help to believe Your Truth. Your blessings are so wonderful that they might seem too good to be true! But, You are Love! So we choose, by faith, to believe that You truly are: For us, and Always with us!
