Today’s Encouragement is, “Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the LORD rises to shine on you. Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the LORD rises and appears over you.” Isaiah 60:1-2 NLT
Let Your Light Shine –
Sorry, but my first thought is the children’s song, “This Little Light of Mine.” However, this is not a nursery rhyme concept, my friend, but a powerful prophetic Truth. It has been spiritually fulfilled by Jesus, He is the Light, and He came to Jerusalem!
Remember that all who believe in Him are His people; we have been adopted into His family!
There are only two states of being. We are either right with God (which is only possible through faith in Jesus Christ) or we are not right with God. No middle ground, no alternating between the two, just a black or white decision, resting in our hands and hearts.
And once we accept Jesus, His love, grace, and adoption, we are His. And we are included in all His wonderful prophecies, including Isaiah 60!
We can, and are encouraged to, let our “light (Jesus) shine for all to see.” Notice it refers to “your light.” We are encouraged to be seen and recognized by the presence of Jesus that lives within us.
I have a great friend who encourages me often with just one word – “Shine!”
So – Shine!
Lord, help us to Shine, always; to show Your glory, rising and appearing over, in, and through us. The world so desperately needs Your Light, help us to Shine.
Shine Jesus Shine
