Today’s Encouragement is, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2 NLT
The Way You Think –
This begins with our choice, our decision to no longer copy the ways of this world. We must say “No!” to this world, before we can say “Yes!” to God!
When we do so… we are choosing and accepting His transformation work in our lives! He does this, we merely let Him; God puts to death our old self and recreates us (in His image) to become New creations, (He even changes the very way we think!) We become new people who learn and know His will! We do not transform ourselves; He does. And what God does, my friend, is always done perfectly!
Don’t see it, don’t feel it? Recognize that spiritual transformation is God’s work in our spiritual lives; He is changing the way we think! There may not be outward, visible signs of this reconstruction, but by faith, you will learn, with a changed mind, to understand God’s good, pleasing, and perfect Will. He desires to do this in us!
Father, thank You for giving us the power to choose! Please help us to choose to let You transform us, by changing our minds, so that we may know and live in Your good and perfect will.
