Today’s Encouragement is, “Then he [God] says, ‘I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.’” Hebrews 10:17 NLT
Never Again –
Not only does He understand us, not only does He forgive us, but He goes even beyond forgiveness, and He chooses to forget all our mistakes and intentional sins! And this is only one aspect of God’s wonderful Grace.
Do you remember the worst thing you ever did? The one that makes you cringe? “I can’t believe that I…” Yes, that one! God has forgiven and forgotten it, as if it never happened… It has been blotted out!
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.” Acts 3:19 ESV
When we put our faith in Jesus as our Savior, we enter a new relationship with God. We become new in every way, reborn as His chosen and adopted children. And as we repent, turning away from our sinful lives, turning to our new life in Christ, God erases… blots out… forgives and forgets… all our sin!
Since God has forgiven and forgotten our sin, we can also! No more guilt or shame! We are free from any condemnation! (Romans 8:1)
So, my friend, when the enemy of our souls reminds you of the terrible things you have done, remind him of the Truth! God has erased all of your sins, past, present, and future; you are a chosen child of God!
Father God, Your grace for us is truly overwhelming! Help us to live in the freedom You have provided for us, forgiven, cleansed, and deeply loved by You. Lead us to a deeper, clearer, and fuller understanding of Your Great Love for us.
