Today’s Encouragement is, “May the LORD bless you and protect you. Numbers 6:24 NLT
Protect You –
God’s protection is the aspect of His nature most often portrayed throughout the Bible. Repeatedly, we read that He protected and saved His people from their enemies, animals, illnesses, evil forces, and even from themselves!
Themselves? “Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 7:24-25a)
Remember, we are called His sheep, and sheep always need protection!
And here’s the beauty of our God – He wants to, He longs to protect us! Our needs are not an annoyance or a bother to Him! Because of His perfect Love.
Jesus said, “How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.” Matthew 23:37b NLT
Notice this last phrase, but you wouldn’t LET me!
We must first recognize our need for protection, that He is our protector, and then Let Him protect us! He wants to protect us!
Father, we turn to You in faith and look to You now for our protection. We need You and trust You, and we ask and thank You for Your perfect protection. You are so good to us!
