The Lord Bless You

Today’s Encouragement is, “May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 NLT

The Lord Bless You –

We sometimes hear this prayer of blessing in church. God intended that His priests, His representatives, speak these words of blessing to His people. Today, thousands of years later, some pastors still bless God’s people with these very words.

Sometimes familiar words can seem trite, outdated, or even useless.  But God’s words are never so!

What if we allowed ourselves to hear and accept God’s words and dare to believe that His words apply to us, personally, individually, and today?

Isn’t it our choice?  We can choose to hear, accept, and believe – Or we can choose to ignore, discount, and dismiss.

Do we dare?

If you dare, this song can help to gently move us from our skeptical human perspective into a surrendered, accepting posture of worship… one in which we can hear and receive the Lord’s blessing.

Father, we thank You for Your patience with us. Help us now to humbly accept and receive, to trust and believe You, and to hear, accept, and receive – Your Blessing.

Benediction
