Name above all other Names –
As believers, we have been given the great privilege of using the name of Jesus to obtain God’s ear and his attention to our needs. The Bible clearly defines the power of His Name in today’s verse. Every knee will bow at His Name! How amazing is that?
Now, His Name is not a magic wand but a key to the door of God‘s presence. When we speak the name of Jesus, we are in His presence; His Name opens and unlocks the door to God‘s presence.
Consider when Peter was sinking, drowning, just after walking on the water momentarily with disciples behind him in a boat and Jesus before him, he didn’t have time for much prayer! He simply said, “Lord, save me.”
Can I suggest that wherever we are, whatever we need, whatever help we hope for, the answer is – “Lord Jesus help me!” There is no need for more. Because there is Power, more power than anyone or anything else… in the Name of Jesus!
Some use this great Name to cuss. We speak this Name to bless, to access the ear of God, and worship Him.
Father God, help us to grasp the magnitude of the Power of Jesus’ Name. The Name above all other Names! And the immeasurably great power You have made available to us through this perfect Name!
