The Very Word of God –
When you hear/read the words of the Bible, how do you respond? “Isn’t that nice?” “Those are such nice words.” “That’s a nice thought.” These are all dismissive responses to God’s Truth. It may seem prudent, even intellectually superior, to take the words with a grain of salt and withhold any sense of belief or authority.
In response to this intellectual skepticism, we ask, “What then is the source of Truth for you?” Is it your own opinions, ideas, and philosophy? Or someone else’s? Is it a belief system you’ve developed by reading the ideas of others? Which wise man, system, or religion have you chosen to follow?
My friend, the Bible is the Very Word of God. Not ordinary words, nor any man’s wisdom or ideas, instead, it is alive and powerful! “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” Hebrews 4:12 NLT
We are allowed to believe it, by God’s Grace, or in our own volition, choose to see it as merely ‘nice words.’
Father God, help us to accept the Bible as Your Very Word, teaching, guiding, revealing, alive, and powerful, which works within us who believe.

Today’s Encouragement 
Good morning Rick. I have enjoyed reading daily your ” Today’s Encouragement ” posts. Todays word really hit home because as you know many churches that call on the name of Jesus Christ as there Lord and Savoir, also willingly accept the lie that satan offered to Eve, and Adam, ” did God really mean. Wheather we understand the entirety of Gods word ( which we don’t), we as believers must accept and embrace His entire scripture as God breathed. Thank you for sharing His word with the world Dave <><
