Today’s Encouragement is “…for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7 NLT
God Gave –
Notice the tense, “God gave” – He has, now/already (not a future someday) given to us (this gift), A spirit of power, of love, and of self-control. And thankfully, ‘not of fear’.
Consider this for just a moment –
You have, now/already, residing within you – the Holy Spirit, the gift of God, already given… And this is a spirit of Power. A spirit of Love. And a spirit of self-control.
Already.
God said this, not me.
Now, we may not “feel” this way, powerful, loving, and self-controlled… Nonetheless, is what we feel the Truth? Or is God’s word the Truth?
Lord, please reveal to us the presence of Your Holy Spirit -already- within us and enable us to live in Your power, love, and self-control!
