Christ’s Ambassadors-
“We are” – we don’t get a choice in this! Because we believe in Him, we are His and identified with Him!
As surely as if every moment of every day, we had a flashing neon sign over our heads, with an arrow pointing down, that reads “Christ’s”!
Many of us are rarely aware of this Truth. There may be moments when we ’try’ to represent Him well, but almost always, we are too wrapped up in ourselves to consider that we are, in truth, always representing Him!
We cannot choose this role; it is our identity! However, we can choose to be good ambassadors or bad ones, actively involved in this responsibility or passively ignoring it.
We are the instruments, tools, and dearly loved people God uses to show His Love to the world.
“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35
It is His supreme instruction: Love God and love others. (From Matthew 22:37-39)
Here’s the good news: all we must do is accept His Love and, in response, love Him. Then, naturally and organically, His Love permeates our lives and overflows us into the people around us. “We love each other because he loved us first.” 1 John 4:19
Father, thank You for clearly explaining that we are Your representatives. We need to be reminded often of Your Truth and our identity as Your people. Help us to Love You so well that Your Love overflows our lives, and we are good ambassadors of Christ!
