He Came To Help

Today’s Encouragement is, “We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham.” Hebrews 2:16 NLT

He Came To Help – 

There are so many reasons why Jesus came to earth… perhaps innumerable…

We know that –

He came to live, die, and rise again to prepare the only way to eternal life for all who believe in Him.

He came to reveal a new way of becoming right with God: by faith in Him alone, not by mere actions. 

He came to reveal a New Covenant: Love God and others as yourself.

And He came to reveal God’s Nature, character, and love to us! 

Each of these alone is astounding Truth, and yet, revealed here is another subtle but powerful reason that Jesus came – He came to help us! 

Jesus is always ready to help us. (Psalm 46:1)

And what must we do, say, or believe to receive His help?  Just ask! (James 4:2)

In faith and desperation, Peter cried out, “Save me Lord!” And Jesus did. (Matthew 14:30-31)

Father, we thank You for Jesus, for all He has done, all He is doing, and all He will do! Especially that He helps us.  We desperately need His help.  Whatever our circumstances or needs, give us enough faith, like Peter, to Cry Out To Jesus!  “Lord, Save Me!”
