Do Everything

Today’s Encouragement is, “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 NLT

Do Everything – 

This is only possible “through Christ.” He alone is the source of life, hope, power, and spiritual strength.  We also recognize that we cannot do anything without Him. (See John 15:4-5)

Yet today’s verse explains that, through Christ we can do everything.  

How? We can pray! We can ask God for everything we need! We can choose to trust Him to care for us at all times in every circumstance.  He is our good shepherd; we are His sheep, and He takes care of us.  We pray, ask, and then, we can let go!  Then we can rest because we are now trusting in Him!  We don’t trust in our own wisdom, ability, willpower, intelligence, confidence, or strength… but His! 

Again – How?  

Pray. Trust. Rest. “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7

In prayer, give Him everything, unload everything – every worry, fear, doubt, hope, desire, need… everything. He will take care of you and meet your every need! 

Because – His love for you does not depend on what you do, think, or feel. Only that you believe in Him as the Son of God, Lord, and Savior! 

Help us, Lord. You alone can help us do anything and everything; we desperately need You. We bring You every burden and need.  Help us now to rest, trusting in You alone for everything.
