So Many Prayers

Today’s Encouragement is, “And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.” 2 Corinthians 1:11 NLT

So many prayers-

We believe, we know that God hears every prayer asked in Jesus’ Name. Good prayers, weak prayers, from good people of strong faith to the desperate cry of the lowest soul.

He shows no favoritism. He hears us all.  And He responds!

He may or may not answer as we expect… He usually doesn’t!  Why? Because He is God! (and we ain’t), so He knows the best way to respond to our prayers!

Paul asks the church to pray for him. So that many people will give thanks to God because He has answered so many prayers.

Paul recognizes that many people’s prayers could be more effective than just one person praying. Many people, praying the same prayer.

There are several biblical examples where God responds because many people pray about the same things.  This is one blessing of a church family: praying together.

Try it.  Ask someone, “How can I pray with you?” Make a note of it and be faithful to remember to pray with them, in Jesus’ Name.

Your heart will be changed, and theirs will be too.  God will hear, always! And He will respond, as He knows best!  His response is always on-time, on-target, exactly the right response… because… He is God; we ain’t!

(And, how can I pray with you?)

Thank You, Father, for always hearing and responding to our prayer in Jesus’ Name, alone or together, written or spoken, articulate or clumsy… because You love each of us – immeasurably!

In Jesus’ Name

  1. I have several prayers about people I know who are struggling profusely. I know He is listening.

Thanks for reminding me to reside in prayers!

    Amen!
