Lives In Your Hearts

Today’s Encouragement is, “I have written to you who are God’s children because you know the Father. I have written to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I have written to you who are young in the faith because you are strong. God’s word lives in your hearts, and you have won your battle with the evil one.” 1 John 2:14 NLT

Lives in your hearts –

John writes to us, God’s children, both to those who are mature and those who are young in the faith, these incredible words:

• To the mature in the faith:
  • You know Christ!
• And to the young in the faith:
  • You are strong!
  • God’s Word – living and alive within our hearts!
  • Our battle with the evil one – It is already won!

Did you hear it? Do you see it? Believe it?

My friends, these truths belong to us and are eternal! They cannot be disputed! These are not for ‘some extraordinary believers’… but for all of us! All of God’s Children have these blessings! 

We may not feel like it, may not see evidence of it, might even be skeptical – but our attitudes don’t harm God’s promises! His Truth is inviolable! We only need to accept and believe! 

God’s word lives in our hearts! Like seeds growing in the soil, unseen, so God’s word takes root within us, grows deep roots, and produces fruit in time… and remains. 

Father, help us recognize the power of Your Word within our hearts, living and alive… and to draw upon Your Word for strength, hope, and courage for the struggles of the day… for we have already won the battle!
