Today’s Encouragement is, “They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity.” Acts 2:46 NLT
Worshiped together –
‘Church’ as we know it today can take many different forms. And the form is only a matter of your personal preference and comfort level. Still, there are a few essentials. First, we gather in Jesus’ Name; He is the purpose. Second, we share ourselves and extend God’s grace, acceptance, and love to the family of believers. Finally, the Word is present, both the Biblical truth and the Spirit of Christ.
With these essentials, we are bound together in a family relationship with brothers and sisters in Christ. It can be messy, even painful, but it can also be joyous and fulfilling.
This is where we learn and grow, where relationships are born and cared for, where the family of God gathers regularly to learn of Him, be with Him, and worship Him.
Lord God, help us to seek and nurture a church home. And to go there regularly to be fed Your word and to share Your love. For there is no substitute.
