Today’s Encouragement is, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.” John 10:27-29 (NLT)
No One –
Do you hear that? No One- can snatch you or me away from Jesus, which is the Father’s Hand!
At times, we must confess, “All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own” (Isaiah 53:6a). We wander, we doubt, we question, sin, and fear… all this is our going ‘astray;’ leaving the path of Faith and Trust. Yet, my friend, reread today’s verse… No one can snatch us! We’re un-snatchable!
Not only this!!! Please read the rest of Isaiah’s proclamation… even though we wander, we stray from faith… this doesn’t change the truth of who we are, or Whose we are! Because “Yet the LORD laid on him [Jesus] the sins of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6b)
Yes, we are to hold on to Jesus, to do our best (which is never quite good enough) to stay close to Him, pray, read His Word, trust Him, and rest in Him… but… God holds us in His Hand. Nothing and no one can snatch us away!
Father God, help us to know that – You hold us in Your Hand, Jesus holds us in His nail-scarred Hand, and nothing can change this Truth!
